Here’s another nice site which provides nice mixes containing old, new, unreleased and hard-to-find tracks for…. you guessed it: free!

Monotape.com is ran bij Turkish DJ/producer Onur Engin, and I love it since the mixes are too damn fresh and it’s one of the most ‘basic’ sites I’ve seen in a while. There’s a frontpage with the 2 recent sets, and on the right you can find an overview of previous- and guestmixes, that’s it!

Engin has an excellent choice in tracks, but his sets are more a collection of tracks than mixes. That, and the limited bandwith of monotape.com are pretty much the only little letdown’s that can be found.

Then there’s the guest-list. So far, there are already enough mixes available to keep your ears warm for the next couple of months. Here’s a small list of guests:

All in all, monotape is a nice place to visit once in a while, and we should thank people like Onur Engin for letting us taste some of the more unknown and exotic eastern funk.
