Founded by Pete Concrete, the dutch record label Eat Concrete (website / MySpace) is gaining more and more acclaim worldwide in the realm of instrumental electronic boom bap music. My first experience with one of the label’s artists was the “Press Enter” mix (free, yay!) by Take, a Los Angeles based producer.
Next to Take’s new EP called “The Dirty Decibels of Thomas Two Thousand” Eat Concrete has so far put up a slick catalogue of releases (mostly compilations) featuring the likes of:
Eat Concrete also provides a vast array of free mixes and recently acquired a spot on Tokyo’s online radio, Samurai FM.
If you’re in The Netherlands, be sure to check the website frequently for the parties hosted by Eat Concrete so you can check out your favorite artists live !
