Now that “More Than Meets The Ear vol. 2” is finished, we’ve finally got some time to get back to regular posting again. And there’s been a lot going on while we were ‘away’!
The Utrecht-based DJ crew Boemklatsch, that started out focusing on hiphop, has broadened it’s reach over the years to… well basically every style that has a phat beat and gets you jumping on the dancefloor. Hiphop, electro, favela, bmore, breakbeat, you name it, it’s no sweat for them.

After organising several different parties over the years (Ammehoela, DumDum, Spinach, Utreg Centraal, etc) and getting a nice line-up of international acts (De La Soul, Jeru The Damaja, Youngblood Brass Band, Little Brother and many more), they’ve gone to the next level and started their own label: BMKLTSCH RCRDS. Tonight (9th of May) they’ll be presenting the first release by Mike Mago & C-Code @ Bitterzoet, Amsterdam.
[edit] you can download the EP here![/edit]
At the same time in Utrecht this month’s edition of Rof! will be held @ Ekko. MC Tim Beumers (of VSOP) will be perfoming on stage, and Brakko & M.O. will be joining him. Expect some hardcore dutch hiphop for your ears!

Our boy Skidz is feeling a bit under the weather, but he’ll be spinning at the lounge-area of Ekko anyway! Knowing him he’s gonna do an oldschool set, and he’ll be packing some copies of “More Than Meets The Ear vol. 2“. Hit him up to get one!
