Where most (inter)net-labels focus on a certain style and gather their artists around it, iD.EOLOGY decided to bend the rules a little and form their releases not on genre, but around the artists themselves. This approach results in an everlasting flow of fresh changes in the label, the looks and the sound of iD.EOLOGY. Although it seems that the net-label’s main focus is beat related music, don’t be surprised to find any genre there. Ambient soundscapes, electronic bumps, dirty grooves.. You name it, iD.EOLOGY brings it.
On the brink of summer id#046 has been put out: “Because Best Things Are Free“. It’s a light, sunny and uplifting compilation of hiphop-based grooves, featuring not only artists from the net-label’s roster, but also a nice range of world-wide guest stars. Every style within the kick-snare-hihat genre is being represented, from crisp electronic stabs, smoothly flown raps to sampled grooves.
I’m also proud to say that the iD.EOLOGY crew had contacted me because they wanted one of my tracks to be part of the project. The last time I’ve released anything online was years ago, but after hearing a selection of tracks from this compilation I was sold. It’s an honor to have one of my tunes alongside great artists like Comfort Fit, Sayag Jazz Machine, Soulkrates, Katrah-Quey and Slomo.
Now stop reading and check it out!
