I’ve been there, I’ve seen it. Where other DJ’s or producers have rooms lined with vinyl racks, Inf (the mastermind behind the Sneaky Pete track we told you about before) has a pretty slim collection. And that fact is actually the beauty of it.

(ok, when I said ’slim collection’ I meant he probably still has more records than your parents ;)

You can collect to collect, or you can collect to gather beauty. I think I can be safe to say Inf goes for the latter. Chances are that every record you pull out is something really put on and just listen to, not because it has a dope lick, break or sample on it, but because the songs are simply lovely to listen to.

Being the nice guy that he is, Mr. Infonetic is always happy to share his knowledge with anyone who’s interested and he does so in his series of compilations called ‘My Favorite Cuts’, of which the 4th part just has been put online. The series contains vinyl recordings from artists all over the world, and while the occasional better-known names fly by (think Galt MacDermot, Labi Siffre, etc) it mainly focuses on the more obscure cuts.

The Man Himself

In the end it doesn’t really matter who the recording artist is. Crate-digger or not, every music lover will be happy to put on these playlists of beautiful and easy tracks.
