While I was browsing Soul Sides last night I stumbled upon a post about graphic designer Mike Davis, who is a member of ‘Burlesque Of North America‘. Apparently, next to doing awesome designs in various styles, he’s also somewhat of a DJ.

Grain Edit, a blog focused on classic design work from the 1950s-1970s and contemporary designers that draw inspiration from that time period, has started a series of record galleries, and Davis was the first to contribute. Taking a pick from his favorite covers, Mike also succeeded in blending songs of those records into a decent 21-minute mix. It seems he doesn’t only have good taste in design, but also in songs since every track is damn sweet. The short take consists mainly of jazz and funk.
