Bass! How low can you go? I have no idea actually, but Kenlo Craqnuques (say whuuuuut?) goes more deep than low on his latest free beat-tape called “Brun”.

Forget head-nodding because this is just off. Not just off the grid but off everything, like catching an eel in a barrel. Synth, bleeps, bass, drums, it’s all just bouncing off the walls on “Brun” for 30 minutes. Actually I can’t really say anything more about it than that it’s kinda like what psychedelic was for rock music, but for beats. Sortof…
If you like freaked-out beats with weird synths and samples you should try it. And even if you don’t like that you should try it anyway, even if it’s only to help me figure out if this guy is borderline genius or just plain out of his mind.

Not everyone that’s out of their mind is a genius but surely every genius is out of their mind. So yes, by definition, KenLo is way, way out his mind. I don’t think he should come back either cause I’m benefiting tremendously. Everything since Mauve is a revelation. I invite everyone to check out his first two (Noir and Bleu) if this appears to be weird and put any of the beats on there up against any of your favorite beats of all time and watch them get obliterated. Then when you get bored, cross over to the experimental. There’s a ton of blippy beats out here that are wack as hell imo. Listen very carefully to this man’s music. It’s not your average blip crap. It’s good for you. Trust. One.

I’ll check out the other stuff too then =) Ofcourse “Brun” is a great release! And yes the net is plastered with a lot of mediocre stuff, that’s why we’re putting up everything that’s worth listening. Whether it’s freaked out or totally steady, if it’s good it’s good.
